This USATF-Certified course (& Boston Qualifier) is run on the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail/American River Parkway from Negro Bar State Park (Folsom) to Discovery Park. Half Marathon starts at William B. Pond Park and finishes at Discovery Park.

General Information
The marathon course is USATF-Certified (and Boston Qualifier).
Course Map
Custom wicking shirts for all Marathon and Half Marathon runners/walkers.
All finishers of the Half and Full Marathon will receive Finisher Medals.
Race will feature Jaguar disposable chip timing.
7-hour time limit on both events.
Awards will be given to top males and females in the following age divisions: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.

Safety Rules for Entrants
No unregistered runners, walkers, or pacers. No dogs. No strollers, baby joggers, incline skates, or bicycles.
Runner safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority for our event. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.
Races and Fees
Register Early! Due to recent events, the open registration fee window has been extended for the duration of online registration. Online registration closes at midnight on March 22nd. Marathon $90; Half Marathon $60.

Late Registration If either race does not sell out, we will accept registration at Packet Pickup and Race Morning. Marathon $100; Half Marathon $70. Race shirts/sizes are not guaranteed for late entrants, so register early!
Shuttle Bus
Shuttle Bus from Finish to Start of Marathon and Half Marathon has reached capacity as of 3/21. Please find alternate transportation to the Start areas.
Shuttle will leave Discovery Park for the Marathon promptly at 5:30am. Shuttle will leave Discovery Park for the Half Marathon promptly at 7:00am.
Runners can switch to different races with 48 hours notice. There are no refunds, rollovers, or transfers to other races.

Aid Stations & Facilities
Aid stations will be located every few miles and will contain Heed electrolyte replenishment and cold water; three aid stations will have Hammer gels. Bathrooms are available at the start and finish and the state and county parks provide facilities including a number of water fountains and restrooms along the course.

Post-Race Meal
Their will be a Post Race Lunch. It will have both meat and vegetarian options. The lunch is free for runners/walkers and $9 for friends & family.

Directions to Marathon Start (Negro Bar State Park)
From Highway 50, take the Folsom Blvd exit and follow Folsom Blvd north. Make a left onto Greenback and then another left into the Negro Bar park entrance. Each vehicle is subject to a $5 entry fee. Plenty of parking is available at the Start; runners must find their own transportation back to the Start if parking there.

Directions to Half Marathon Start (William B. Pond Park)
From U.S. Highway 50, take the Watt Avenue northbound off-ramp. Turn right at Fair Oaks Blvd, then make another right onto Arden Way. Arden Way will come to an end at the park’s entrance. To access the western entrance of the park, from the Watt Avenue off-ramp, take American River Drive east and turn right onto Harrington Way. Each vehicle is subject to a $5 entry fee. Plenty of parking is available at the Start; runners must find their own transportation back to the Start if parking there.

Directions to Finish (Discovery Park)
Discovery Park is located beside I-5 in downtown Sacramento. From I-5 take the Richards Blvd. off-ramp then go west to get to the South entrance of the park, or follow the Garden Highway exit east from I-5 to find the North entrance. Signs denote the parks location from I-5. The County of Sacramento charges $5.00 for parking in the parking lots which supports county parks and the American River Trail.
