Holiday Hustle Duo!

The Holiday Hustle Duo is comprised of the Reindeer Rumble 10K and 5K trail run on Saturday, December 7th at Ancil Hoffman Park in Carmichael, followed by the Don’t Snow Me Down! 10K and 5K on Saturday, December 8th, on the paved trails of Cummings Family Park in Folsom. Run either or both; run both and receive the special Holiday Hustle Duo medal! Participants who preregister for both events save $$! Run both 10Ks, both 5Ks, or one of each!

The Reindeer Rumble runs are the perfect way to dip your toes into trail running. Both events take place on the marvelous single-track trails within Ancil Hoffman Park. The trail is commonly used by runners, hikers, and horseback riders, not to mention the ever-present (and friendly!) wildlife.

COURSE

Participants will begin by running or walking the perimeter of the meadow to the far north side, then will meet the trailhead to begin the loop. The trail is mostly flat except for a few rolling sections through mile 1-1.5, prior to the first aid station. The trail winds through large oak trees and near the Beautiful American River before leading runners and walkers back to the finish. 10K participants will do 2 loops of the course; 5K, 1 loop.

Please note: Sacramento County Parks charge a $5-fee for entry into the park. There may not be a ranger at the entry; if no ranger is present, all vehicles must use the self pay, or be subject to a ticket and fine. Please help us show our gratitude and respect to Sacramento County and ensure all entry fees are paid. Thank you!

All participants will receive a commemorative shirt, a finisher award (upon completion of the registered event), and goodie bag. Awards will be presented for the top men’s and women’s finishers in each race. Depth of awards will be determined by the size of the participant field.

Each participant will receive a raffle ticket for entry to win one of the raffle prizes provided by Elemental Running and Training and its generous sponsors and partners. Additional tickets will be available for purchase for $2 each or three for $5. Raffle will take place prior to the race start.

Winners must be present to receive all finisher awards and raffle prizes. No awards or prizes will be mailed.

All spectators, friends, and family are welcome to relax at the start/finish area and enjoy the atmosphere while cheering on their runners. Plenty of food and beverages will be available. Donations from non-participants will be greatly appreciated and passed along to the designated charitable beneficiary.
