COURSE

The course begins in Folsom on the American River Bike Trail at Beals Point State Park. The out-and-back course first travels south on the trail through Negro Bar State Park to the Hazel Avenue Bridge, turning North and proceeding through Willow Creek State Park. The Half Marathon turnaround at the Mississippi Bar on the American River Bike Trail just short of Main Avenue. The 50K will start with an out-and-back to Cavitt Middle School before heading south on the American River Bike Trail.

The Marathon and Half Marathon courses are on a paved bike trail.

The best option for air travel is Sacramento International Airport (SMF), approximately 30 miles west of Folsom.  Some airlines fly into Stockton Metropolitan Airport (SCK), approximately 70 miles south of Folsom.

We will accept registrations at Packet Pickup and Race Morning; however, shirts and sizes are not guaranteed.

You must register by Monday, February 9th, 2015 in order to be guaranteed a shirt and your requested size.

Veterans: Elemental Running is owned and operated by Veterans so we appreciate the service to country. If you are a veteran or currently serving please CONTACT US and we will be happy to extend you a discount.

Race Directors: Elemental Running is happy to offer you free entry with reciprocal race entry.  Please CONTACT US with your request.

 

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are an essential element of any race, but especially for ultramarathons. We have some of the best volunteers and we are always looking for some more.

Volunteers earn $10.00/hour race credit to an Elemental Running race.

Remember to sign out on the volunteer sheet when you leave the race so we have your hours recorded!

RACE DAY

All participants will receive a technical shirt and a finisher medal (upon completion of the registered event).  Awards will be presented for the top men’s and women’s finishers in each race. Distribution and depth of age group awards is dependent upon participant field.

Winners must be present to receive all finisher awards and raffle prizes. No awards or prizes will be mailed.

Runner instructions will be given ten (10) minutes prior to the race start. Runners are responsible for hearing all instructions, checking the website for updates, and reviewing the participant instructions email that will be sent and posted on FACEBOOK and TWITTER no later than Friday before the race.

Gear check will be available at the Start/Finish Area. Runners must mark their items clearly with their name and place them in the gear check area. Gear check is to be used at the runners’ risk; Elemental Running is not responsible for any lost, misplaced, or stolen items.

Parking is available inside Beals Point State Park.
