Elemental Running and Training has assumed the series of events and the RunSac platform.  Given the untimeliness and intricacies of the transition, the status of permits, and other considerations, updates to the RunSac.com site will be held in abeyance until the full 2012 and 2013 calendars can be confirmed.  For information and the latest news on events in and around Sacramento, please visit our race calendar at www.elementalrunning.com/races/.

 

Thank you for your condolences, support, and new friendship--we have truly enjoyed getting to know our fellow runners in northern California and Nevada and look forward to spending many great races and healthy years with you!

We are working hard to secure the full series of events for 2013, including sponsorships, prize purses, and other resources, so that we may return the Series and competition to its former heights and make it truly representative of the quality and challenge of events our runners have come to expect.  The Ultrarunner.net site will continue to be developed as a comprehensive resource for ultrarunners.

  • These results are preliminary and do not factor in Division, number of Extreme obstacles completed, or number of laps. That information is being tallied and comprehensive results will be posted in the next few days.
  • Only those participants who elected to be timed are listed.  Not all participants chose this option.
  • For ease of locating your results, results are listed in bib number order as well as time of day of finish.  Finish Time is not Elapsed Time.  Elapsed Time is the time it took for the participant to complete the course; Finish Time is the time of day the participant finished.  If you are still having trouble locating your results, try Control-F and search for your name.
  • Participant information was missing for several individuals. If you do not see your information listed, or your information is incomplete, please forward your information to elementalrunning@gmail.com.
  • Will the real bib #407 please stand up?  We had two race day participants assigned bib #407, but we only brought one bib #407.  Please contact us if you are the true #407.

Provided the event does not sell out, we will accept registration at Packet Pickup race morning.!  However, finisher awards, shirts and sizes are not guaranteed for late registrants, so register early!

Course Description

The course will be run throughout the paths and roadways of the beautiful William Land Park.

  •  Race will feature Jaguar disposable chip timing
  • Jogging Strollers are allowed but you must start at the back of the start and stay to the right side of path
  • Aid stations every 1.5 miles, stocked with hydration and smiling faces!

Sacramento Firecracker Course Map

Race Day

Plan to arrive no later than 6:30am in order to pick up your packet.  All participants receive entry into a raffle to win one of many great prizes provided by ERT’s generous sponsors and partners.  The raffle will be held before race start so you do not have to wait around after the event if you need to hit the road.  (If you have time--great!  Hang out and enjoy the refreshments and cheer on the other runners.)

The race will start immediately following the raffle at 7:00am.  Refreshments will be provided for all runners and walkers following the race.

All participants will receive a short-sleeved cotton shirt commemorating the race, as well as a custom finisher award.  Late/Race Day Registrants are not guaranteed shirts and sizes.  Register online by June 21st to guarantee your shirt!

Awards will be given for top male and female in each event, as well in age divisions 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.  Award ceremony follows the race.  All winners must be present--awards will not be available for pickup or mailing after event.

Packet Pick-Up

Race morning at the festival area, in the grassy area along Freeport Boulevard, 6:00-6:45am.

Parking

Roadways inside the park will be closed for the event.  Parking is available along Sutterville Road, as well as roadways adjacent to the perimeter of the park.  Please be respectful of the area neighborhoods and residents.  Please do not park in the William Land Golf Course parking lot, and please do not cross the golf course while walking to the Start/Finish Area.

Participants should enter from Land and 18th Avenue.  Vendors, handicapped, and volunteers only may enter from Sutterville and 19th Avenue.
