Many thanks are in order for everyone who attended the second annual Flight of Fire at Red Rock Canyon this morning! Record highs did not keep our runners down, although they did beat them up a bit! Congratulations to everyone for braving this tough, technical course! Despite so many out-of-towners not accustomed to the heat, and first-time trail runners, everyone did amazingly-well, and should be proud of themselves!
Congratulations to our Men’s Half Marathon Winner, Artico Henrique, for setting a new course record! And congratulations to all winners and runners!
Special thanks to our generous volunteers who also braved the heat and donated their time, smiles, and Saturday morning to ensure the runners were safe, encouraged, and well-taken care of. We could not do this without you!
Finally, thanks to everyone who provided their services and expertise, including the Medical Reserve Corps, providing emergency and medical services, and Pink Jeep Tours of Las Vegas, providing our shuttle service for the 10Kers. Please also remember to support the Friends of Red Rock Canyon, volunteers for Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
Thank you for helping us nearly double our runners this year…see you next year when we will SELL OUT!!
*Please note, official results are based on chip-to-chip format; exact times and age group placement may differ slightly from awards presented at the event, which are based on gun start times per USATF rules.
